Marriage License Requirements
Couples wishing to marry in
Florida simply need to visit any county courthouse in Florida to obtain a
marriage license. The ceremony can be performed the same day a license is
obtained for non-Florida residents. There is a 3 day waiting period or
premarital course applicable only for Florida residents. The marriage
license is valid for 60 days from issue date. Persons previously
married must provide the date of divorce. One proof of identification is
required: Driver's License, Certified Birth Certificate or State
I.D. International visitors may use their passports as
identification.
